OUR STORY

We are first and foremost a change and leadership consultancy.  We have worked for many years supporting our clients all over the world, as they work with large and small transformation challenges.

Many of our clients have been asking us to develop new ways to deliver content, learning and new thinking in support of our ongoing consulting activity – and the Academy is the result of those collaborations.

The content we create and offer here is thoroughly researched, and while it aims to provide pragmatic and application based insights, it is grounded at Masters and Doctorate level, combining the latest work of academics around the world, peer reviewed and properly tested.

We intend to continue to support clients with a wide range of consulting offers – and increasingly backed-up by leading edge learning packages, delivered just when our learners want them, in bite-sized chunks.

Caryn Vanstone

Caryn Vanstone

Founder Director

Caryn’s work focuses on culture, relationship and performance change in large, international organisations.  This work is enabled by 20+ years of deep study and practice in the area of psychology, sociology and applied neuro-science.

Caryn is currently working on global culture change programmes for some of the world’s largest corporates.  She is also working with several Government departments.

Her work is typically described as “viral” in nature – creating and enabling social movements and experimentation.  This blends the application of “rapid prototyping”, “anti-fragile” and “nudge” approaches with appreciative inquiry, storytelling and improvisation, which helps stuck organisations increase speed, local accountability, creativity, sustainability and relationship quality while reducing cost, waste and bureaucracy.

Steve Holliday

Steve Holliday

Founder Director

Steve moved into his consulting career through being a leader, coach and change specialist for EON and Siemens after gaining operational leadership and management experience in GlaxoSmithKline and Smith & Nephew.

A chartered safety practitioner, with a deep competence in the area of safety culture and management, he also works extensively with customer orientation, creativity and ethics, and other cultural and leadership questions which are vital to successful, safe and flourishing workplaces.

He works through processes such as action learning and other forms of peer-to-peer challenge and support.  Steve is at his best working “in the field” alongside those who are right on the sharp end of complex engineering implementations, often having to tackle high levels of technical complexity, further complicated by large diverse teams, distance working, customer anxiety and internal political pressures.  He helps them to build strong social connections and the right level of vulnerability and intimacy to create safe, disciplined support systems and new solutions to what seem like intractable challenges.

Our wonderful associates and authors come from all walks of life, and from all over the world.  They are first and foremost consultants, coaches and change agents inside organisations – with a passion for sharing their academically grounded, and practically useful learning.

We all work together in the corporate, governmental and other sectors – with expertise in a wide variety of industries and change issues.

We look forward to working with you!
